Excelsior College Examinations (formerly ACT/PEP) are used to meet specific college degree requirements of the Excelsior College degrees and are accepted for college credit by over 900 colleges and universities. Formerly called the ACT Proficiency Examination Program (ACT PEP), Excelsior College now administers these examinations worldwide.

PRIOR TO TESTING, THE EXAMINEE NEEDS TO KNOW THE INSTITUTION’S ACCEPTANCE POLICY AND PASSING SCORE REQUIREMENTS.

NATIONAL TEST CENTER - BASE-SPONSORED TESTING

A growing number of military installations are contracting with national test centers to provide Excelsior College testing through their base sponsored test centers. Testing is free to eligible military personnel. DANTES funds both the test fee and through our contract with Excelsior College and Excelsior College pays for the administration of the test by the national test center. Check with your education center to see if this option is available.

Advantages of testing at a national test center:

*All test titles are available. For a listing of all the test titles visit http://www.excelsior.edu

*Year-round testing on all the exams to include the Extended Response and Mixed Format exams

*Instant scoring for all but the Extended Response and Mixed Format tests

DANTES TEST SITES – PAPER-BASED EXCELSIOR COLLEGE TESTING

Paper-and-pencil forms of the ECE exams are available to military personnel through DANTES Test Sites and to eligible overseas civilians through DANTES Test Sites. DANTES funds these exams for eligible military personnel at DANTES military Test Sites.
